The San Joaquin Human Resource Association (SJHRA) is affiliated chapter #184 of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We are a membership association for human resources professionals that promotes excellence in the development and management of human resources, integrating organizational, individual, and community interests. Our more than 150 members are located throughout San Joaquin County. Members cover the full spectrum of the HR profession--practitioners in both large companies and small businesses, independent HR consultants and educators in the HR field.

Member Benefits Include: 11-monthly luncheon seminars* per year featuring professional experts who deliver the most up-to-date information regarding business and employment practices, critical in today’s business. A Conference each January focused on bringing members important Federal and State labor law changes and professional development. An interactive Website making membership and association information convenient and easily accessed from anywhere in the world and more! A Searchable online membership database. An E-Discussion board where members can network with other professionals in the area and ask questions or share best practices. Affiliate partnerships with local vendors providing discounts to members for goods and services. A 12-week spring and fall HRCI Certification Preparation Course partnering with the NCHRA to help members gain their PHR, SPHR or GPHR Certification Credential. A 6-week SHRM California Certification Preparation Course to help National PHR/SPHR members gain their California Certification. An SJHRA Scholarship Fund for local students pursuing HR or Business careers. Continuing education credits from SHRM recognized for most association seminars and applicable toward re-certification of member’s current PHR, SPHR or GPHR and PHR-CA and SPHR-CA credentials.
